ULTRA-GRIT
Tested in the dust of Unbound, the chaos of The Traka, and the wilds of the Reiver, ULTRA-GRIT, like you, has real competitive grit. Built to go faster and further.

Headwinds are universal. ULTRA-GRIT fights back with aero profiles taken from our fastest road bikes, fully internal cable routing and integrated cockpit options. It helps you hold speed, whatever the surface.

Control wins races. With race-optimised geometry, flex stays and an asymmetric seat tube, the UCI-approved ULTRA-GRIT frame stays composed under pressure. Cockpit choices let you dial in handling for fast corners and rough descents.

Every effort counts. The 30T/33T carbon layup with M46 fibres keeps ULTRA-GRIT ultra-light and brutally efficient. A threaded BSA bottom bracket adds stiffness and easy servicing without compromising performance.

From solo missions to gravel epics, ULTRA-GRIT is adventure-ready. With 50mm tyre clearance, internal down tube storage, smart mounting points and UDH compatibility, it adapts to your ambition with zero fuss.

Developed and raced by the Ribble Outliers, ULTRA-GRIT is available in the same proven platform ridden to podiums across the world’s toughest gravel races. Alongside the standard models, the Team Edition delivers the exact look and race-bred attitude of the Outliers’ bikes, bringing pro-level inspiration to your own rides. Same uncompromising frame, same competitive intent built to help you ride faster, push further, and chase the finish line like the pros.

"From first pedal stroke, the ULTRA-GRIT just felt right! It's fast, light, and confidence-boosting. It’s transformed our racing mindset completely."

Paint started peeling around the bottle cage bolts within weeks. Cosmetic issue but at any price this is sloppy. Returns process was painful too.
Ultra-Grit Apex XPLR AXS · Beginner rider · <20 km/week
Bottom bracket seized after 800 miles of winter riding. No provision for mud protection despite being sold as an all-weather gravel bike.
Ultra-Grit Sportfit Apex XPLR AXS · Weekend rider · <20 km/week
Fork steerer cracked after six months of normal gravel use. Ribble blamed rider error. Lost all trust in the brand. Avoid.
Ultra-Grit Rival XPLR AXS · Weekend rider · <20 km/week
Seatpost slipped constantly no matter how much I torqued the clamp. Three months of frustration before Ribble acknowledged a manufacturing defect.
Ultra-Grit Force XPLR AXS · Daily rider · 50-100 km/week
Perfectly adequate for gravel riding but the spec feels budget in places. Brakes are OK, wheels are heavy, tyres are mediocre. Frame deserves better.
Ultra-Grit Apex XPLR AXS · Daily rider · 100 km+/week
Headset came loose on the first ride and the front wheel wobbled dangerously at speed. Had to walk home. Completely unacceptable quality control.
Ultra-Grit RED XPLR AXS · Weekend rider · 20-50 km/week
The relaxed geometry makes it stable but it feels lifeless on punchier terrain. If you want a lively gravel bike, look elsewhere in the range.
Ultra-Grit Sportfit Apex XPLR AXS · Daily rider · 20-50 km/week
Cable routing rattles constantly on rough terrain. Tried foam inserts but it persists. Ruins the off-road experience on an otherwise decent frame.
Ultra-Grit Rival XPLR AXS · Daily rider · 50-100 km/week
The stock tyres are woefully inadequate for any real off-road riding. Spent an extra £120 on proper gravel tyres before I could enjoy the bike.
Ultra-Grit Force XPLR AXS · Daily rider · 50-100 km/week
Tyre clearance is great on paper but the rear mudguard mounts foul with anything over 42mm. Disappointing for a gravel bike at this price.
